Kana Yoritomo nació en Izu durante los últimos años del período Sengoku, hija de un herrero respetado por su habilidad y su ética.
Cuando su padre quedó gravemente herido tras resistirse al reclutamiento forzoso del clan Hōjō, Kana tomó su armadura y la espada que él había estado forjando en secreto. Kana Yoritomo was born in Izu during the final years of the Sengoku period, the daughter of a respected blacksmith known for his skill and integrity.
When her father was gravely injured after resisting the forced recruitment imposed by the Hōjō clan, Kana took his armor and the sword he had been secretly forging.
Despite the restrictions placed on women, she trained in secret and began protecting the roads near the Amagi Pass, where her speed and precision drew the attention of villagers and traveling messengers.
She was soon recruited as a scout by a small allied clan and took part in skirmishes recorded in local Suruga chronicles.
Her most remembered action occurred during the defense of the Yamanaka valley, where she led a retreat that saved dozens of civilians.
After that battle, she disappeared without a trace; only her father’s sword was found, planted firmly in the ground.
Her figure became a symbol of quiet resistance and determination in times of war.
